Do you embrace the struggles in your life?
As I look back over my life it is in the struggle that I have learned the most and where I have turned to God. When I have been in the midst of struggle I have had challenging times trying to grasp hope and peace. I often forget that through those times God is shaping and molding me for what is to come. The apostle Paul talks about keeping our focus on the heavenly prize the eternal life that is to come. As Christians we are living for God and the eternal life. Often times we get so concerned about our own comfort and contentment that we forget it is Him we are living for.
Romans 5:3-4 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
What suffering is distracting you from the lesson you could be learning?
