What do you think of when you hear the word reborn?
The word reborn for many years confused me until I entered the recovery world and read in a 12 step book that “We were rebornâ€. They were speaking of our relationship with God and how because of his presence we will lose our fear of the present and future. It further went on to explain spiritual experience that would bring about a personality change. As I seek Gods word I read that my acceptance of Christ opens me up being reborn in my spirit. As I battled a drug addiction I became spiritually and emotionally dead but as I sought out God those areas of deadness became alive “they were rebornâ€.
John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.â€
