MOTIVES

Have you ever had a wrong motive for doing something?

As a coach one of the most important questions I ask my clients is “WHY?” you see this question will take you to the actual motive. After years of self-discovery I realized that one of the biggest motives for me was “seeking validation”. This came from a past story, belief and program in my life that came from a single incident in my childhood. From that incident I chose to believe that I was not good enough and that money was more important than me, this belief would lead me into various self-condemning behaviors that included negative self-talk, judging others, being critical, addiction (indulging in sin), resentment, anger, pride, etc.

We should have an audience of ONE! God should be the one we seek validation from….

Where have your motives been out of alignment with God’s?
