What have you made a god?
We tend to make a god out of many things, this is called an idol. “What is an idol? It is anything more important to you than God, anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God, anything you seek to give you what only God can give (Keller 2009 Pg. XIX).
I do my best in the evening to take an inventory of my day, checking to see if I have wronged anyone, been dishonest or made an idol. The one area that tends to be a struggle is business, not business but busy-ness. Since reading Keller’s book I realize that this is an idol.
