What does the word gift mean to you?
Dictionary.com says “Something given voluntarily without payment in return, as to show favor toward someone.â€
Have you ever given or received a gift but later discovered it had strings attached to it?
In this case it really was never a gift; gifts are given unconditionally and without the expectation of something in return.
Think back through your life and bring to mind a situation where a gift was given either by you or someone else but later there was an expectation ties to it!
