How do you identify feelings?
As we go about identifying the feelings we have we can use a simple list. Hurt, Sad, Lonely, Angry, Scared, Ashamed, Guilty, Happy, Loved, Hopeful, Peaceful etc. Remember these feelings are not right or wrong, good or bad. Feelings aren’t facts. Our feelings our based on perceptions which often times are not reality. Where we get into trouble is how we react to the feeling. Our actions that follow the feelings can greatly impact the main objective.
I used to be so reactive to my feelings, I would retaliate often hurting others and myself deeply. The key, is to give the feeling some time before you react to it. Is it really what you think it is? Give it 24 hours and then decide if it is worth reacting to.
They say ““Life is 10 Percent What Happens to You and 90 Percent How You React to It†There is a time to feel the feelings you are feeling just like it states in: Ecclesiastes 3 – read the whole chapter
