A Life of Contentment:
In our world today it can be difficult to find contentment; we often are searching for the next thing. I agree it is good to be excelling in all areas of our lives but we can do it with contentment in our hearts.
Have you ever thought my life will bee good when I get _________________? (Into a relationship, bigger house, new car, new job, have kids, kids are out on their own, etc.) well I have numerous times in my life. Content means: Satisfied with what one is or has! “What would life be like to have that kind of contentment?” it is basically a mindset….
The Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:11-12 “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances, I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, wether living in plenty or in want.”
Evaluate your life and discover what is distracting you from being content, then realign your life to obtain contentment!
