ACTION IS REQUIRED

Have you ever known you need to do something and just do nothing?

I was doing a study called “Experiencing God” by Henry Blackaby when I realized that when I was feeling convicted it was God asking be to take action and join him. I had felt this conviction for years but did not even think of it as God speaking to me; I just went about my business with what I wanted to do.

Scripture tells us to be doers of the word and not hearers, meaning when we learn something we are called to put it into action. This is a great example: My mentor and I were discussing me being married and that going into the first three marriages of my life (Yep I was married three times before my current marriage) and how my perception of marriage was entirely different than what the Bible describes.

Between the 3rd and 4th marriage he said to me now the next time you get married you cannot play that ignorant (Unknowledgeable) card. You know specifically what the TRUTH says about marriage and in your next marriage you are held to a higher standard.

What do you have knowledge about but are ignoring?

These verses are a great explanation of doing the right thing: James 1:23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
