Jordan River is the only river in the world which flows for most of its course below sea level. The river is but 100-200 feet wide, except at flood time when it overflows its banks. This river has witnessed many miracles of God’s power. Three times in history its waters have been miraculously stopped (Joshua 1:2). John the Baptist ministered to the multitudes that came from Jerusalem and all the Judea at the River Jordan. See (Matthew 3:6; Mark 1:5). Here we are at the Yardenit Baptismal Site.
