How many friends do you have?

When going through life it benefits us to have friendships. The quality of our friendships is far more important than the amount of friendships we have. A friend is someone who will stand by your side through anything. A friend will love you unconditionally even in those times when you may seem unlovable. A friend will tell you the truth even when it may hurt. We may think we have many friends until our circumstances change and we find that many of them were just acquaintances.

Do you know who your true friends are and who are your acquaintance’s?

How well do you know yourself?

No one knows themselves fully because we are continually evolving and changing. When we seek God and study his word we receive revelations that draw us closer to him and to others. I have done some tough digging within myself and it seems that it is a lot like an onion, you keep peeling layers off and there is another layer to peel. The more layers we peel, the more we get to know ourselves, and the more God will be able to use us at deeper levels. Becoming self-aware allows us to enhance our communication and build deeper relationships.

How will you step up and dig deeper?

Are you living a balanced life?

When going through life, balance is the key in creating Joy. Creating balance in our Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual areas will manifest Joy in our life. If one of these area is out of balance it will hinder the other areas. Going through an identification process you will be able to discover where you are out of balance; from there you can formulate a plan to move into balance.

The challenge for most people is not these steps but in their follow through, this is where an accountability partner can support you in “staying the course”.

How will you get into balance today?

How are you cultivating gratitude daily?

Gratitude is the catalyst that keeps us on track. Being grateful helps us to keep in appreciation and thankfulness. It’s time to write a gratitude list when you have one of those days where you feel like giving up. At these times we are often critical, frustrated or at the end of our rope. During these times we must cling on to our hope in Christ and remember that “this too shall pass”, it’s a time to evaluate what we have.

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9, New Living Translation).

Have you ever done a timeline?

A timeline is a great way to review your past to produce an inventory of past events which may be holding you back from achieving what you want out of life. When scripting, thought, story, belief and/or program is revealed. It is only then that you can begin to unchain yourself from the thoughts and/or beliefs that are holding you back. What is holding you back from being all that God has designed you to be, and all that you want to be. Once the scripting is revealed then you should replace that scripting with the truth that is found in what God believes about you.

“As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation—a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth. (2 Thessalonians 2:13, New Living Translation).
